Working on the roof is always difficult. It’s hot, the footing is uncertain, and one false move could have a really bad outcome. So, as the team tackled the salvage of Davis’s tall (and heavy) octagonal chimney pots today, I watched with a certain degree of apprehension as I handed them the occasional chisel or pry bar.
It was a long afternoon. But as the team carefully expertly maneuvered the pots onto the waiting lull and safely down to the ground, we all breathed a collective sigh of relief. One chimney down, three to go:
